Churwalden Dovetail
This cedar dovetail log home is tucked into a steep hillside located in the ski area of Churwalden in the Swiss Alps. The dovetail Western Red Cedar walls are approximately 40 feet long and 30 feet wide (inside-to-inside). This spacious and beautiful log home features a great room, kitchen, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a walkout basement and storage. We built thick walls to meet high Swiss energy codes, and designed a custom settling system to address settling in the valley rafters and ridge beams.
